SAGEBRUSH MERCANTILE
Another way to support our mission is to shop our wonderful gift shop called the Sagebrush Mercantile. Books, fun puppets, textiles, engraved wine glasses, pewter Christmas ornaments, note cards, old-fashioned candy, children’s games and books of all kinds are found both in the Kitchen room of the Reiman-Simmons House and on three modular displays inside the Heritage Barn. Members receive 10% off each purchase, and all proceeds go to fund our educational programming.
Of special note are our own published books: “The Rain Has Gone Around”, featuring stories of Quincy residents around the important topic of water, and our four “Children of the Quincy Valley Series” titles - “Lena, Pioneer Girl” (Quincy settlement); “Ruby, Town Girl” (Quincy in the 1930’s hoping for water); “Tuk’Luki, Wanapum Boy” (about Grant Wyena, a Wanapum Indian boy around the time of the building of Priest Rapids Dam), AND our newest book, just released… “Jose’s Grand Adventures” by Melissa Slager (telling the story of a Hispanic boy in 1960’s Quincy). $15.
